Growing up in Southern Africa, Danny Steyn became a wildlife photographer at an early age, and the fact that Danny’s uncle Terry Reilly was at the forefront of wildlife conservation in Southern Africa made his start as a wildlife photographer so much easier. Danny was also influenced in his wildlife photography by Howard Kirk, famed BBC documentary photographer and film maker. As a kid, hanging around Terry and his animals and Howard with all his cool photo gear, helped to instill a passion in Danny for professional wildlife photography at an early age that has never dissipated to this day.
Danny is also a seasoned professional travel photographer with several thousand travel photographs published in the top travel magazines around the world. As a professional travel photographer, Danny is continuously traveling on travel photography assignments around the globe and is prepared to travel extensively. Danny’s travel photography has appeared in many in-flight magazines including American Way, US Airways Attaché, South African Airways Sawubona, Escala and many more.
